KBL Mining Limited (ASX: KBL), formerly Kimberley Metals Limited, operates in the mineral exploration, resource development and mining industry in Australia.

The Company has three segments: Mineral Hill, Sorby Hills and Other exploration assets.

The Company’s Mineral Hill mine is located in central-western New South Wales, 50 kilometers north of the town of Condobolin.

Its Sorby Hills project is located in the northeastern part of the Kimberley region of Western Australia, approximately 50 kilometers from the regional centre of Kununurra and 120 kilometers from the port at Wyndham.

As of June 30, 2011, the Company had the right to earn a 51% interest in the Manbarrum tenements. Its Constance Range project is located in the north-western corner of Queensland.

Properties

Mineral Hill Mine

The Mineral Hill Mine is located in the northern part of the Lachlan Fold Belt in central-western New South Wales, 50km from Condobolin.

Mineral Hill is now operating at steady-state of 290,000tpa with the ability to surge production to 330,000tpa, annually producing 5,400t of Cu, 1,500oz Au and 100,000oz Ag in concentrates.

Gold and silver dore production is expected to commence in the second half of 2012, with an increase in Mineral Hill production to 500,000 to 550,000tpa, adding 20,000oz Au and 165,000oz Ag per annum.

Sorby Hills

The Sorby Hills lead-silver project is located in the north-east of the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and approximately 50 kilometres by road from the regional centre of Kununurra. The project consists of five granted mining leases and one exploration licence.

The deposit was discovered in 1971 by Aquitane Australia Minerals, and consists of a series of 13 separate but adjacent carbonate hosted, near surface lead-silver-zinc deposits in the Burt Range Formation within the Bonaparte Basin.

The mineralisation is considered to be characteristic of Mississippi Valley-type deposits.
