India Gold jewellery exports up 10.88% in November: GJEPC

Gold jewellery exports were down 21.01% to $5.52 billion in the first eight months of FY 2016, while that of medallions & coins more than doubled to $3.68 billion in the same period.

MUMBAI (Bullion Street): Gold jewellery exports from India rose by 10.88% to $920.82 million in November as compared to $830.46 million in the same month last year, according to latest data released by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

Exports of silver jewellery increased from $155.18 million in November 2014 to $ 379.51 million this year.

Gold jewellery exports were down 21.01% to $5.52 billion in the first eight months of FY 2016, while that of medallions & coins more than doubled to $3.68 billion in the same period.

Silver jewellery exports rose 52.2% to $2.05 billion and Coloured Gemstones exports were up 3.8% to $286.98 million between April-November 2015, GJEPC data showed.
