US Silver production declines in Sep: USGS

Based on unrounded data, the average daily silver production in September was 2,753 kg compared with 3,010 kg in August and 3,240 kg for full-year 2014.

NEW YORK (Bullion Street): US Mines have produced 82,600 kilograms (kg) of silver in September, an 11% decrease compare with August silver production and a 20% decrease compared with that of September 2014, according to latest data released by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Based on unrounded data, the average daily silver production in September was 2,753 kg compared with 3,010 kg in August and 3,240 kg for full-year 2014.

Domestic silver production in the first 9 months of 2015 was 5% less than that of the same period in 2014, data showed.
