US Silver production drops 17% Y/Y in Oct: USGS

The average daily Engelhard silver price for October was $15.77 per troy ounce, which was 7% more than that of September and 8% less than that of October 2014.

NEW YORK (Bullion Street): U.S. Mines have produced 84,600 kilograms of silver in October, a slight increase compared with September silver production and a 17% decrease compared with that of October 2014, according to latest data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Based on unrounded data, the average daily silver production in October was 2,730 kg compared with 2,790 kg in September and 3,240 kg for full-year 2014.

The average daily Engelhard silver price for October was $15.77 per troy ounce, which was 7% more than that of September and 8% less than that of October 2014.

The daily silver price in October began the month at $14.55 per troy ounce, the lowest level of the month and increased to $16.10 per troy ounce on October 15 and 16, the highest level of the month. The price ended the month at $15.60 per troy ounce.
